Nutrients Normal- An ideal zucchini plant fertilizer will certainly contain nitrogen. An all-purpose food like 10-10-10 is generally sufficient for zucchini plant needs. They contain plenty of nitrogen to facilitate healthy growth as well as necessary phosphorus and potassium to boost fruit production. It is best to base fertilizer applications on the results of a soil test. The garden should be limed to a soil pH of 6.0 to 6.5 for the best growth of these root crops. If a soil test has not been taken, apply SHIVAS's all natural veganic fertilizer at 3 pounds per 100 square feet of garden before planting. Vegan- For best results if growing in small to medium size containers, be sure to incorporated before planting our Callemo Powder to help support the plants Calcium and Magnesium needs. Then our VeGrow Quick Start to get the root system started and then use our VeGrow PK Booster once a week for the duration of the plants life cycle. |

Harvest Time For picking zucchinis, use a sharp knife, pruners or scissors to cut the stem one or two inches from the fruit. Some growers grab the fruit by the base (where the flower was) and twist it slowly to break it off the plant. With this technique, however, sometimes the stem doesn't give, and the fruit gets broken. |
