What can I plant next to Bamboo? Most species of bamboo grow fairly tall fast. This enables them to cast some shade over your garden. If you're growing tomatoes and peppers, this is bad news. But if you have shade-loving plants, including orchids, bromeliads, ornamental grasses, or certain culinary herbs, this is great. |

Harvest Time We usually harvest over two months around January. This is the dry season, and there's some slowing down and collapsing of the structure of the plant. At this time there will be lower starch levels in the plant, and it will be harder and drier. |
